Building My Dream Machine

A Component Breakdown

The time has finally come! After weeks of research, countless component comparisons, and a healthy dose of anticipation,I'm diving head first into building my dream PC. This isn't just about slapping together some parts; it's about creating a machine perfectly tailored to my needs, whether it's conquering the latest AAA titles, crushing creative projects, or simply achieving peak browsing performance.

So, buckle up, tech enthusiasts, because I'm here to unveil the hardware that will bring this beast to life!

The Casing: Lian-Li O11 Vision

To start off we need to talk about what we're going to be putting all our components into. For this beast, I've gotten myself the limited edition Lian Li O11 Chrome Vision Case.

Not the actual PC build (just for showing what the case generally looks like)
The Brain: CPU - Intel Core i9-12900K

At the heart of any PC lies the central processing unit (CPU), the conductor of the computational orchestra. For this build,I've opted for the Intel Core i9-12900K. This powerhouse processor boasts 8 performance and 8 efficient cores, 24 threads and 3.20GHz speeds to 5.20GHz Turbo speeds to seamlessly handle demanding tasks and fast-paced gaming. Built in 32 Core, Intel UHD Graphics 770 GPU.

The Brawn: Graphics Card - 4090 (Have not bought but considering)

The graphics card (GPU) is the visual artist of the PC world, responsible for rendering stunning in-game graphics and smooth video playback. To unleash the full potential of the CPU, I've chosen the 4090. This card delivers 24 GB GDDR6X, 4th Gen 1321 AI TOPS for an unparalleled visual experience. I will definitely be using this for Machine Learning research (and maybe gaming)!

The Backbone: Motherboard - ASUS Z790-V Prime AX DDR5

The motherboard is the foundation upon which all other components reside. It acts as the central communication hub, ensuring smooth data flow between the CPU, GPU, memory, and other peripherals. For this build, I've selected the ASUS Z790-V Prime AX DDR5. This board boasts 4 Ram Slots (Max Ram supported: 192GB total, 48GB per slot), Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.3.

The Lifeblood: Memory (RAM) - G.Skill Ripjaws S5

Random access memory (RAM) serves as the PC's short-term memory, crucial for running programs and applications smoothly. To ensure my system can handle multitasking and intensive games with ease, I'm equipping it with G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB Kit 6000 [2x 16GB] of DDR5.

The Storage: SSD & HDD

For storage, I'm taking a two-pronged approach. A super-fast solid-state drive (SSD) will house my operating system and frequently used programs, enabling lightning-quick boot times and application loading. The KIngston NVMe Gen 4.0 boasts 2TB. For bulk storage of games, media files, and other data, I'll be utilizing a reliable hard disk drive (HDD). The Seagate Barracuda  provides ample space at 4TB.

The Power Plant: PSU - ASUS TUFF (ATX 3.0)

A reliable power supply unit (PSU) is essential for delivering clean, stable power to all the hungry components. To ensure sufficient wattage and headroom for future upgrades, I've selected the ASUS TUFF Gaming  Gold (ATX 3.0) with a rating of 1000W.
